Blizzard of 2016

Sunday, January 24, 2016
East Coast

Local police departments are humorously urging folks to stay home and not get wrapped around a "happy little tree".  Here is some other advice from our men in uniform:

First, if you're shoveling, take frequent breaks. And while you're resting, try to convince your neighbor to lend you his shiny new snowblower.
Second, shovel out 3 feet around the fire hydrant on your street. Your entire neighborhood could benefit.
Third, don't be the neighbor that throws snow into the street. It annoys your neighbors, it's illegal and it's unsafe.
And finally, go sledding.
