With a very heavy heart He asks the Father for another way, but He understands that His suffering and death is the only path that we would have for salvation. He submits His will to the Father. Text/Post: [15 of 20 - Bearing His Cross: By this time Jesus had been handed over to the soldiers who had beaten Him. They stripped Him of His garments which they had cast lots for. Jesus was given His own cross beam to carry up the road to Golgotha. After He had fallen several times due to His weakened state. Simon was compelled to help Him carry it the rest of the way. At the ninth hour (about 3 PM) Jesus speaks, “Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit.” Jesus died. The curtain within the temple tore from the top to the bottom.
